2Toots Train Whistle Grill: Downers Grove, IL

Jun 11, 2012 | Commercial Customers

Downers Grove, IL

The vision for 2Toots Train Whistle Grill was to recreate the look and feel of a 50’s lunch counter and ice cream fountain that would have been found at your local drug store, or the luncheonette at Kresge’s dime store where you could get a basket of fries and a hand dipped milk shake or malt. Every detail has been meticulously duplicated, whether consciously perceived or not contributes to the warmth and emotion that inevitably rekindles fond memories from a time past. From the knotty pine wainscoting that was present in our recreation rooms and basements, to the Formica “boomerang” pattern counter tops in our parent’s kitchens. It all adds up to the comfort and warmth that 2TOOTS TRAIN WHISTLE GRILL brings to heart.
